Our Plan for South Africa
At the People’s Movement for Change (PMC), we don’t just dream of a better South Africa — we’re building one. Our plan is bold, people-driven, and grounded in reality. We believe in tackling the root causes of inequality, restoring dignity, and unlocking the full potential of our nation.
This is our plan to create a South Africa that works for everyone — not just a privileged few.
1. Reclaiming Education for the Future
We believe quality education is a basic right, not a privilege. PMC will invest in schools, teacher training, early childhood development, and youth leadership programs. We’ll ensure our children are not just taught to pass, but equipped to lead.
- Upgrade school infrastructure in under-resourced areas
- Modernize the curriculum to include tech, entrepreneurship, and life skills
- Ensure every child has access to safe transport, nutrition, and digital tools
2. Jobs, Opportunity, and a Thriving Economy
South Africa has talent. What we lack is opportunity. Our plan will support job creation through local business development, entrepreneurship, skills programs, and support for the informal sector.
- Establish job centers in every community
- Incentivize youth-owned businesses and cooperatives
- Support local manufacturing and community-led projects
- Cut red tape for small businesses
3. Restoring Dignity Through Land and Housing
Access to land is about more than property — it’s about justice. We support fair, transparent land reform and housing policies that put people first.
- Accelerate land redistribution with full legal and community oversight
- Invest in affordable, safe housing projects in both rural and urban areas
- Promote sustainable land use and urban agriculture initiatives
4. A Health System That Cares
Healthcare should never be a luxury. We aim to overhaul public healthcare with proper resourcing, community clinics, mobile health services, and preventative care.
- Increase budget for public health facilities and staff
- Bring mobile clinics to rural and underserved communities
- Prioritize mental health services and addiction support
- Strengthen maternal and child healthcare
5. Safety, Justice, and Accountability
Communities are tired of living in fear. Our justice system must serve the people, not protect power. PMC will reform policing, tackle gangsterism, and hold officials accountable.
- Community-based policing partnerships
- Rehabilitative justice over punitive sentencing
- End corruption with real transparency laws and citizen oversight
6. Uplifting Women, Youth, and Marginalized Voices
We cannot move forward if we leave anyone behind. Our plan centers on inclusion, empowerment, and opportunity.
- Expand programs for women entrepreneurs and GBV survivors
- Open youth centers in every ward for mentorship, sport, and skills
- Ensure full political inclusion for people living with disabilities, elders, and the LGBTQ+ community
7. Protecting Our Environment
A sustainable future is a necessary future. We will push for green jobs, clean water, and environmental justice.
- Introduce community-led recycling and solar programs
- Protect South Africa’s water systems and forests
- Penalize corporate polluters and illegal mining
8. Digital Freedom and Access
In a modern South Africa, access to information and the internet is key to development. We want to close the digital divide.
- Roll out free Wi-Fi zones in public spaces
- Equip schools and libraries with tech and training
- Fight for data affordability and fair telecom regulations
9. Honest Government that Serves
PMC exists because we’ve seen how politics can fail the people. We’re building something different — a government that serves, listens, and acts.
- Public performance audits of all government departments
- Publish accessible budgets for every community
- Prioritize local leadership development and capacity building
This is not just a plan. It’s a promise.
We know the challenges are real — but so is the power of the people when united. PMC’s plan for South Africa is built on community, truth, and action. Together, we can restore hope, build trust, and create a country where everyone belongs.
Let’s change the story. Let’s build the South Africa we deserve.
